Michael Underwood

Michael Underwood was born in Trenton, Michigan in 1977. He moved to Toledo, Ohio for college, and spent the second half of undergrad in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan. As many generations of Americans before him, Mike saw opportunity in the West, and moved there to attend California Institute of the Arts in 2001. After grad school, Mike scored an internship in the Getty Museum's Department of Photographs. For three years after that, he sharpened his eye at Getty Images as an editor of news, sport, and entertainment photography. Currently he is the Archivist at LA Louver Gallery in Venice, CA, and surfs just about every day.
